DUMPER TRUCK TRAINING

For operators over the age of 18 with little or no experience

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The trainee will be expected to have understood –

• Basic construction and components of the vehicle

• Limitation of use

• Principles of operation

COURSE CONTENT

• Introduction to the course

• Health and safety at work act 1974

• Construction site safety

• Basic operation and controls

• Pre-checks before operating

• Safe working loads (SWL)

• Practical operations loading and unloading

using dumper / dump truck

• Correct travelling procedures

• Theory Test

• Practical Test

Ratio

Maximum 3 Trainees per instructor, per dumper truck.

Duration

1 to 3 days dependent on experience
